Centrally located in the heart of Melbourne, fortyfivedownstairs is found within a beautiful 19th Century building and features a theatre and two gallery spaces, offering a diverse programme of theatre, performance, exhibitions and forums.

fortyfivedownstairs is located in a beautiful brick building in Melbourne’s theatre district. Our name is descriptive of our location; downstairs at number 45 Flinder’s Lane.
Our galleries are located on the first level down. The two gallery spaces are wonderfully simple with their white walls, wooden floors and soft light. Our theatre is on the next floor down; a grungy space which transforms with every production and show held within its unpainted brick walls.
